We’ve all heard the saying ‘travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer’ and we couldn’t agree more. But, we also understand that your bank account balance may not agree with this statement quite so much.
If you’ve caught the travel bug and are constantly throwing around ideas for your next overseas adventure, we have compiled a few of our favourite travel apps for keeping budgets low and spirits high whilst on the road abroad. This way you can travel more, for less.
Fancy taking a wine tour throughout France or hitting the Moulin Rouge Show with VIP seats and Champagne? Discover all of the best international sites and experiences at the lowest prices. The Viator app has over 20,000 of the world’s top tours and activities in over 1,500 global destinations. Viator is a great resource to find and book the best travel experiences and deals around. The best part? The site also offers multiple VIP experiences and ‘skip the line’ passes at some of the world’s most iconic destinations such as the Sistine Chapel or Eiffel Tower. This app is definitely one way to save big and make your holiday experience one to remember.
Trail Wallet and the Travel Budget App make keeping track of your budget a breeze. These apps allow you to input all of your expenses and then totals and categorizes all of your daily spending. These apps take the headache out of tracking your expenses while you’re on the road and mean you can easily see exactly how much you’ve spent on what. The only down side to these two travel budget trackers is that they aren’t entirely free – Trail Wallet is free to download which means you can try it out for free but there is a cost of $7.99 once you’ve added more than 25 items to your budget list. Alternately, the Travel Budget App is $1.49 to download but no further charges are necessary after this. If you’re determined to stay on budget and keep track of your expenses these apps are really worth looking into for your next overseas adventure.
Pair any of these great apps with TravelSIM’s low rates on data, calls and texts. Stick to your budget so you can travel more, for less… and keep your bank balance in check at the same time.
